About Us

Visions for Creative Housing Solutions is a nonprofit founded in 2014 that offers permanent supportive housing with wrap-around services for adults with developmental disabilities and similar disabling conditions. Visions is dedicated to fostering growth and independence while supporting each individual in a home that is conducive to long term friendships and a sense of well being and self worth.

Visions is based at Sunrise Farm, on 80 pastoral acres in a safe rural setting with built-in pool, hiking trails, and flower and vegetable gardens in Enfield, New Hampshire. Once the family home of founding director Sylvia Kluge Dow, Sunrise Farm was originally owned and operated, beginning in 1955, as Kluge's Inn on Sunset Hill by Dow's family.

In the early stages of a period of significant growth. Visions currently has eleven residents at Sunrise Farm, each living in one of two shared houses or on-site apartments. A second site, the Green Street Apartments in Lebanon, is currently being renovated with plans to open by early summer 2021. A capital campaign will soon be launched to develop a third site in Hanover, on property donated to Visions by a former nonprofit.

In an effort to meet the needs of Visions ever-growing waiting list and requests for services from throughout the region, an Emerging Opportunities grant from NHHFA (New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority) funded publication of a free online Supportive Housing Toolkit that has already been used by a group of families in Dover to establish a similar nonprofit there.
