JOB SHADOW DAY
Upper Valley Business Alliance in partnership with Lebanon Middle School
 
UVBA & Lebanon Middle School are partnering to bring back Job Shadow Day! It may seem like an early start, but exposing 8th Graders to the variety of job opportunities the Upper Valley has to offer can influence what extracurriculars they consider as they enter high school. It also allows us to showcase the Upper Valley as a place people can have a successful career, as opposed to feeling the need to leave the region to pursue higher education and a viable career path.
 
Any type of business can participate and are encouraged to host multiple students across different sectors of their business. A chaperone accompanies each group and LMS is coordinating transportation to and from each site.
 
What else do I need to know?
Job Shadow Day is held on:
April 29, 2026
8am – 1pm
 

• Transportation for students is provided to and from your office or facility.
• A chaperone will accompany each group of students.
• Let us know if you plan to provide lunch or not – this is optional
• You can host as many or as few students as you feel comfortable with. Some suggestions you might consider:

• Take them on a tour of your office/workshop/facility
• Rotate through different departments
• Allow them to shadow someone
• Offer an activity they can try to get their hands on something practical related to your business
